Monday, Ayrton fell against a small wooden coffee table. Hit it with his mouth, sliced his lower lip pretty badly. Initially blood was pouring out, but it stopped pretty quickly. The cut was fairly deep(5mm?) and it looked like he lost a chunk of flesh.
First went to GP, who referred us to St. Luke's as he needed stitches. There they said he needed to be knocked out for the stiches and for a kid his age they could only do that in Crumlin. So they arranged for us to go to Crumlin the next day.
Arrived in Crumlin yesterday at 7:30 as instructed, had to be admitted through A&E. Plastic surgeries begin at 12:30 so we had to wait till then (don't know why we had to arrive at 7:30). But they have a preety good waiting room for the kids with lots of toys.
He was finally brought into theatre at 2:00. He got at least 6 dissolve-able stitches.
His rash flared up during surgery, so we had to wait around for a pediatrician to examine him. We got the all clear and eventually got home around 7:30pm.
Need to go back in 6 weeks for a checkup
